Stephen E. Bohan

Steve was born May 9th, 1960, in New Haven Connecticut and is the second of four children.

I graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1983 and have been fortunate to live in Guilford Ct. my entire life. My wife, Suzanne and I, have been married 33 years and have two daughters, Sarah, and Jessica.

I entered the financial services industry in December of 1989 and began working with a captive insurance company. This experience taught me a valuable lesson - that a successful company needs to find products their clients need, rather than look for clients to sell products to. After three years of being a captive representative I chose to become an independent financial consultant, and founded S.E. Bohan Financial Group LLC, specializing in investments and insurance. As an independent financial consultant, I'm not captive to any one investment product, or insurance company. This gives me the rare opportunity to offer my clients objective advice and guidance while utilizing some of the most competitive products and services available in the market today. I've gained national recognition and regional recognition from some of the worlds largest financial firms.

As I've grown in my career as a financial advisor, I've learned that relationships are the lifeblood of business. It doesn't matter how smart I am, it doesn't matter what product I'm helping a client get happily involved with. If people do not know, like, and trust me, they're not doing business with me. So, I spend a lot of my time really working to build and strengthen my relationships with people.

I've been a registered financial consultant for more than 30 years. As a small business owner, husband and father, I face the same financial concerns and challenges that most people do today. I have made it a priority to put the financial needs of my clients first. I continuously monitor their progress by updating them and keeping an open line of communication, an asset that I pride myself on of which sets me apart from other financial consultants. 

Hobbies: In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, travel, exercise, sports, fishing, and outdoor activities.
